Playing with Lightning

Sometimes I imagine Urd likes to go out in thunderstorms and play with the lightning, threading it through her hair, around her fingers, dancing with it.


Had this one on the back burner for a long time. Wanted to do something ulta-dynamic, with foreshortening and fun angles and glow effects and internal lighting and dramatic shadows and basically channel my inner Urd.

Really pushed myself with that lightning, and I'm still not sure the shadows are right. Her crazy reflective hair keeps throwing me off on how dense the shadows should be. On one hand, her features should be in high relief, the light being so close, but I don't want to muddle up her face with a lot of extraneous lines...
